Henrik Larsen VIPsAllowed — This changed my mind about sweet wines
9/10

I normally avoid dessert wines because they're too much for me, but a friend opened this after dinner and I was genuinely surprised. It's sweet but not in an obvious way — there's almost a savoury thing going on underneath that makes it really drinkable. Went back for three glasses which tells you everything. Now I need to find more Tokaji.

Connor McBride VIPsAllowed — Nice but steep price
7/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something different for a dinner party. It's good — really honeyed and interesting, and everyone commented on how clean the finish was. But I'm not sure I'd pay nearly £64 again when there are solid dessert wines for half that. Would happily drink it if someone else was buying though.

8/10

Had this at a restaurant and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle. It's got this lovely apricot and honey nose but what I really rate is how refreshing it is — you don't get that heavy sticky feeling some dessert wines give you. The acidity keeps everything balanced. Poured some with a cheese board and it was spot on.
