View All (7)I've been working my way through different tawny ports this year and Ramos Pinto 10 Year is now my benchmark. The prune and almond flavours are so well balanced, and there's this salty edge that stops it being too sweet. Poured it after a big Sunday roast and nobody wanted to stop sipping.
13 January 2026Don't get me wrong, this is a nice port. Smooth, lots of prune and toffee, warming finish. But for nearly two hundred quid I was expecting something more mind-blowing. My mate brought a £60 Touriga Nacional port last month that honestly wasn't far off. One for the collectors maybe.
6 January 2026Had this at a friend's house after dinner with some dark chocolate cake and it was a perfect match. Strong at 19.5% but doesn't taste boozy if that makes sense. The toasted nut flavour is the standout for me. Not sure I'd buy a whole bottle at that price but I'd happily order a glass in a restaurant.
