Ruth Banks VIPsAllowed - This is what port should taste like
10/10

I've been working my way through different tawny ports this year and Ramos Pinto 10 Year is now my benchmark. The prune and almond flavours are so well balanced, and there's this salty edge that stops it being too sweet. Poured it after a big Sunday roast and nobody wanted to stop sipping.

Marco Andretti VIPsAllowed - Bit pricey for what it is
7/10

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice port. Smooth, lots of prune and toffee, warming finish. But for nearly two hundred quid I was expecting something more mind-blowing. My mate brought a £60 Touriga Nacional port last month that honestly wasn't far off. One for the collectors maybe.

Haruki Sato VIPsAllowed - Solid port, great with chocolate cake
8/10

Had this at a friend's house after dinner with some dark chocolate cake and it was a perfect match. Strong at 19.5% but doesn't taste boozy if that makes sense. The toasted nut flavour is the standout for me. Not sure I'd buy a whole bottle at that price but I'd happily order a glass in a restaurant.

Isabella Rossi VIPsAllowed - Christmas present that blew me away
9/10

My wife got me this for Christmas and honestly it's one of the best ports I've ever had. The butterscotch and nutty thing going on is incredible, and it just keeps going after you swallow. At £182 it's not an everyday bottle but for special occasions it's worth every penny.

Jorge Castillo VIPsAllowed - Really good but that price though
8/10

Okay so the port itself is gorgeous — rich, warming, loads of dried fruit and butterscotch. But £182? I've had 10 year tawnies at half that price that come pretty close. Would I buy it again? Maybe for a milestone birthday.

9/10

Spotted this at a restaurant in Porto last summer and ordered a glass on a whim. That salty, almost coastal thing on the nose really caught me off guard — never tasted anything like it in a port before. Tracked down a bottle when I got home. It's become my go-to when I want something after dinner that actually makes me slow down and enjoy it.

Isla McCallister VIPsAllowed - Wine shop guy nailed it
9/10

Asked the bloke at my local wine shop for something special for a dinner party and he pointed me to this. Went down an absolute storm with the cheese board. There's a figgy, salty thing on the finish that had everyone reaching for another glass. Really glad I trusted him on this one.
