Kenji Watanabe VIPsAllowed — This stuff is dangerously drinkable
8/10

Picked this up after reading it was 100% Chardonnay and I'm a sucker for blanc de blancs. The mousse is so creamy and smooth, and there's this gorgeous brioche richness on the finish. Went perfectly with some fish and chips which probably isn't the done thing but who cares.

I don't know much about wine but I know what I like and this is gorgeous. There's a honeycomb sweetness to the smell but it's actually really dry to drink, with a chalky mineral thing that keeps it interesting. Absolutely loved it and the bottle didn't last long between two of us.

Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was really nice without blowing my mind. You get that baked apple and hazelnut combo which is pleasant, and it's properly dry which I prefer. Good but I'm not sure I'd seek it out myself at that price.
