View All (6)Got recommended this by the guy at our local wine shop for our anniversary dinner. The mousse is incredibly fine and there's fresh peach and pastry notes that are just gorgeous. Long saline finish that keeps you reaching for another sip. Expensive obviously but it made the evening feel properly special.
21 February 2026Tried a glass at a tasting event. It's undeniably well made — really fine bubbles, lovely bready nose, and a dry chalky finish that goes on forever. But at this price point I expected to have some kind of religious experience and it was more like yeah that's a really nice glass of fizz. The 2012 vintage is drinking well though, no rush on it.
7 February 2026Split a bottle with friends at a restaurant (not the magnum thankfully). It's nice, really smooth and the finish goes on and on with this mineral chalky thing. But I've had £40 grower champagnes that made me just as happy. I'm sure wine people will tell me I'm wrong but for normal drinking it feels like diminishing returns.
