Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured you only live once. Glad I did. Dense and rich without being sweet, which is what I usually don't like about port. The caramel on the finish stuck around forever. Wouldn't buy it every week at that price but for a treat it's brilliant.

Bought this to open after Christmas lunch and it was perfect. Tasted like the pudding we'd just eaten — dried fruit, caramel, the works. Everyone went quiet for a second after the first sip which tells you everything. The 20% ABV sneaks up on you though, fair warning.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something for our anniversary dinner. It's gorgeous — all dark fruit and coffee with this amazing long finish. Bit hard to justify £133 regularly though, even if it is from 1976.
