Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured you only live once. Glad I did. Dense and rich without being sweet, which is what I usually don't like about port. The caramel on the finish stuck around forever. Wouldn't buy it every week at that price but for a treat it's brilliant.

Bought this to open after Christmas lunch and it was perfect. Tasted like the pudding we'd just eaten — dried fruit, caramel, the works. Everyone went quiet for a second after the first sip which tells you everything. The 20% ABV sneaks up on you though, fair warning.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something for our anniversary dinner. It's gorgeous — all dark fruit and coffee with this amazing long finish. Bit hard to justify £133 regularly though, even if it is from 1976.

Got this as a birthday present from my father-in-law and wow. It literally tastes like Christmas cake and dark chocolate all mixed together. The finish goes on forever — I timed it and I swear it was over a minute. At £133 it's not cheap but this is genuinely special.

I'm not usually a port person but a mate brought this round and it completely changed my mind. It's so complex — like cigar box and dark chocolate and dried fruit all layered on top of each other. We barely talked for ten minutes, just sat there sipping it. The dry finish really surprised me.

Tried this at a tasting event and immediately tracked down a bottle. The coffee and chocolate flavours are incredible, and it finishes dry which I didn't expect from a port this rich. Worth every penny if you ask me.

Maybe my expectations were too high given the price tag. It's a solid port — nice coffee and molasses notes, and the finish is genuinely long. But for £133 I've had colheitas that impressed me more. Still a decent bottle, just not the knockout I was hoping for.
