Spotted this on the wine list at a nice restaurant and figured why not. So glad I did. The dried apricot note is subtle but once you notice it you can't stop going back for more. Really clean and focused, not heavy at all. One of those champagnes that makes you slow down and actually pay attention.

Got this as a gift for my parents' anniversary. We all shared it and even my dad who normally drinks beer said it was impressive. Lemon tart on the nose is spot on. It's not a casual Tuesday night bottle at that price but it made the evening feel really special.

Don't get me wrong, this is good champagne. Nice bready nose, citrus flavours, long finish. But is it £145 good? I've had Pol Roger and Billecart that come close for £40-50 less. If someone else is buying, absolutely. Out of my own pocket, I'd think twice.
