View All (5)The guy in Majestic recommended this when I said I wanted something sweet but not too sweet for cold evenings. He was right — there's a nice spice on the finish and the sweetness doesn't overwhelm everything. Been having a small glass after dinner most nights. Dangerous at 20% ABV though.
6 January 2026Had this at my nan's over Christmas because it's always in her cupboard. It's decent enough — caramelly and sweet with some raisin notes. But I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it myself. There are more interesting fortified wines out there for similar money.
2 January 2026Look, it's Harveys Bristol Cream — everyone knows what this is. The nutty, toffee flavour is exactly what you want from a cream sherry. Nothing groundbreaking but it's reliable and cheap enough that I always keep a bottle in. Bit sweet for some people but I like it over ice.
