Astrid Nilsen VIPsAllowed — Took a while to open up but rewarded patience
8/10

Poured a glass and thought it was nice but nothing crazy. Left it for 20 minutes and came back to a completely different wine — way more complex with loads more going on in the nose. The finish lingers really nicely too. I'm still learning about German wines but this one's definitely taught me to slow down and give them time.

Thomas Weber VIPsAllowed — The wine shop guy was right
9/10

Went in looking for a nice white for my wife's birthday and the guy behind the counter talked me into this Egon Muller. Glad he did. She loved it. It's got this amazing thing where the sweetness and the sharpness just balance each other out perfectly. We drank it slightly chilled with some cheese and it was brilliant.

Victor Osei VIPsAllowed — Worth every penny for a special night

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and wow. The balance between the sweetness and acidity is just perfect — it's not cloying at all, which I was worried about with a Spätlese. Paired it with some pan-seared scallops and we were both just sat there grinning. At £215 it's not an everyday bottle but for a big occasion, absolutely.
