Launay Horiot delivers a orange of real quality here — Pinot Noir at its best, offering prestige at £650.00.

Got to try this at a tasting event and honestly? It's a solid Pinot Noir with nice smoky oak and dark berry notes, but I've had bottles at a tenth of the price that made me just as happy. The finish is long and interesting with a dry mineral thing going on, I'll give it that.

Saw this on the wine list at a fancy place in London and my mate insisted we split a bottle. Really rich and full bodied with clove spice and dark fruit. Enjoyed it a lot in the moment but looking up the price afterwards I nearly choked. Nice wine, ridiculous money.

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was genuinely lovely. The dark fruit flavours are intense — lots of bramble and something like plum jam. At £650 though, I'm not sure I'd buy it again unless we win the lottery.
