Had this with a slow-cooked lamb shoulder on Sunday and it worked really well. Got that earthy, leafy thing going on underneath the fruit which I liked. Warming too at 14% so definitely one for colder months. Good not great.

The wine shop guy talked me into this and honestly I think I could have spent half as much and been just as happy. It's pleasant enough — dark fruit, bit of spice on the end — but £75 for a Pinot Noir that doesn't completely blow me away is a tough sell. Would maybe try it again if it was on offer.

Saw this on a restaurant list and ordered a glass first to try before committing to a bottle. Glad I did because it's genuinely classy — blackberry and plum with a leathery sort of finish that lingers. Not cheap but it feels like proper Burgundy. Would buy again for a dinner party.
