Devon Marsh VIPsAllowed — The hazelnut finish though
9/10

Got recommended this by the guy at my local wine shop when I said I wanted something special for Christmas. The nose is all roses and brioche and then you get this long finish with hazelnuts and citrus that just won't quit. Properly impressive stuff and everyone at the table noticed it was a cut above the usual fizz.

Valentina Ricci VIPsAllowed — Stunning but hard to justify the price
8/10

Tried this at a tasting event and it's genuinely lovely — really delicate red berry flavours with a peppery kick and a chalky mineral quality that makes it feel serious. But £274 is a LOT for champagne when there are great options at half the price. If someone else is buying, absolutely yes.

Simon Hughes VIPsAllowed — Anniversary splurge that delivered
9/10

Bought this for our 10th anniversary and wow, it was worth every penny. The strawberry and orange notes are gorgeous and it just keeps going — you finish a sip and the flavour hangs around for ages. At £274 it's not an everyday thing obviously, but for a special occasion champagne this is the real deal.
