Daisy Miller VIPsAllowed - This stuff is unreal

Absolutely loved this. Poured it for dessert instead of actually making dessert and nobody complained. The peach and honey flavours just go on and on. My mate who "doesn't like sweet wine" had three glasses so make of that what you will.

Bought this for my 40th and wow, glad I did. The tropical fruit thing is real — it smells like mango and tastes like baked peaches with honey. Sweet but not cloying, which is what I always worry about with dessert wines. At £290 it better be good, and it is.

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and thought why not. It's nice — tropical fruits, vanilla, decent acidity so it doesn't feel heavy. But at this price point I've had Sauternes that impressed me more honestly. The ginger on the finish is a cool touch though, I'll give it that.

Picked this up for our anniversary after seeing Thibault Liger-Belair recommended online. The nose is gorgeous — passionfruit and cinnamon, kind of Christmas-y but in a good way. Sweet without being sickly and the finish lasts ages. Felt special opening it.

Noah Williams VIPsAllowed - Lovely but hard to justify the price

The wine shop guy talked me into this and it IS delicious — all marmalade and vanilla with a minerally backbone that stops it being too sweet. But £290 for a bottle I'll drink in one evening with my wife? Bit steep. Would I buy it again? Probably not, but I'm glad I tried it once.

Had this at a friend's dinner party with a blue cheese board and it was a perfect match. Really long finish with apricot and a little ginger kick. It's a Chardonnay dessert wine which I didn't even know was a thing, but I'm a convert now.
