Herbert Muller VIPsAllowed — Dinner party showstopper
9/10

Opened this for a dinner party with friends who are proper into their wine and every single person commented on it. Really concentrated plum and blackcurrant flavours with a sort of earthy, savoury thing on the finish that kept us all going back for another sip. Paired it with slow-cooked lamb and it was magic.

Bought this for our anniversary and wow. The dark cherry and plum flavours are incredible — rich and deep but nothing feels heavy or over the top. Tannins are smooth as silk and the finish just goes on and on. At £750 it's not an everyday bottle obviously but for a special occasion it's absolutely perfect.

Samir Patel VIPsAllowed — Stunning but hard to justify the price
8/10

Had this at a restaurant in London and it was genuinely fantastic — the cherry and cedar notes are spot on and that finish is ridiculously long. But £750 a bottle? I dunno. It's brilliant wine but there are great Burgundies at half the price that get you 90% of the way there.
