Clara Johansson VIPsAllowed — Good but not mindblowing
7/10

Decent oloroso with nice structure and a clean finish. I was expecting a bit more punch for the money if I'm honest. It's well balanced and the acidity keeps things interesting but at nearly eighty quid for 375ml I wanted to be more wowed than I was. Still a solid wine though.

9/10

Got this as a birthday present from my partner who knows I like sherries. The nose on this is incredible — really rich and layered, like dried fruits and nuts just hitting you as soon as you pour. At £79 for a half bottle it better be good, and honestly it is. Smooth, balanced, and I kept going back for another sip.

Marianne Blom VIPsAllowed — Proper grown-up sherry
8/10

Picked this up after the guy in the wine shop recommended it when I said I wanted something special for Christmas. It's an oloroso so expect that nutty, oxidative style but done really well here. Good acidity keeps it fresh and the finish just lingers nicely. Not cheap but it's estate aged so you're paying for quality.
