Tomas Rivera VIPsAllowed — Nice but maybe a touch overpriced
7/10

Got this as part of a mixed case and it's solid — blackberry and sort of herby flavours, smooth finish. Good wine, no complaints there. But at £31 I think you can find similar quality Crozes-Hermitage for a few quid less. Would drink again if someone else was buying!

Brought this to a friend's birthday dinner and everyone commented on it. Really rich and fruity with a bit of spice — one mate said he got clove which I could totally see once he said it. The cedar-y finish is lovely too, really smooth. Will definitely be getting more of this.

The guy in the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something full-bodied but not too heavy. He nailed it. Big dark fruit flavours but the tannins aren't aggressive at all, just really well balanced. Had the last glass with some strong cheddar and it was banging. Solid 8 from me.
