Picked this up after seeing JL Vergnon mentioned somewhere online and I'm glad I did. It's got this lovely structure to it — fruity but with a real backbone of acidity holding everything together. Not showy at all, just quietly really good. Had it with some fish and chips on a Friday night and it was perfect.

Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was solid champagne, no complaints. Good acidity, decent bubbles, clean finish. But at nearly £47 a bottle I'd probably look elsewhere for an everyday fizz. For a special occasion though, sure.

My wife got me this for my birthday and wow, it's properly good champagne. Really crisp and fresh with a lovely dry finish that keeps you coming back for more. At £47 it's not cheap but it's miles better than most stuff at this price. We finished the bottle before the starters were done.
