Kofi Asante VIPsAllowed — Solid but not cheap

Had this at a friend's dinner party and liked it enough to track down a bottle myself. It's good — nice lemony flavour with some green apple, and the finish has this salty thing going on that's quite moreish. At £21 though I'd say it's a treat buy rather than a weekly bottle.

6/10

It's a decent Sauvignon Blanc but I'm not sure it's £21 decent. The elderflower and grass notes are pleasant and it's definitely smoother than cheaper ones. Just hard to justify when you can get perfectly good Sauv Blanc for a tenner.

Bought a couple of these for a barbecue last weekend and they went down a storm. Really refreshing with that crisp finish but it's got enough body that it doesn't feel thin. The passionfruit and lemon flavours are gorgeous. Goes brilliantly with fish or just on its own in the garden.
