A wine shop near us did a port tasting evening and this was the showstopper at the end. So smooth for 20% — you genuinely cannot tell it's that strong. I got loads of coffee and walnut from it. Way out of my usual budget but I can see why people save up for bottles like this.

Mate brought a bottle to a dinner party and we all shared it after dessert. It's stunning, no question — the orange marmalade thing is real, and the finish goes on forever. But £400 is a LOT of port. I've had 20 and 30 year tawnies that got me 80% of the way there for a fraction of the cost.

My wife got me this for my 50th birthday (fitting, right?) and honestly I'm not sure anything will ever top it. The dried fig and butterscotch flavours just keep going and going — I swear I could still taste it ten minutes after my last sip. Yes it's £400 but for a milestone occasion it was absolutely worth every penny.
