Aiko Tanaka VIPsAllowed — Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Got this as a birthday present to myself — half bottle felt like a nice way to try something special without going completely mad on price. The peach and mineral thing going on is gorgeous, and it's got this amazing balance where it's sweet but somehow also really crisp and refreshing. Honestly didn't want it to end, which is the problem with half bottles I suppose.

Mia Sundberg VIPsAllowed — Lovely but ouch the price

A mate brought this to dinner and it was really nice — proper elegant, lots of stone fruit and a slaty mineral quality that kept it interesting. But £65 for a half bottle is steep. I'd have it again if someone else was buying, but I'd probably spend that money on a full bottle of something else for a weeknight.

Adaobi Eze VIPsAllowed — The wine shop guy was right

Went into my local looking for a nice Riesling and got pointed towards this. It's sweeter than I expected but not in a cloying way — more like ripe peach with a really zippy acidity that cuts through. Light on its feet for something with this much going on. Will definitely be exploring more German Riesling after this.
