Got this as a birthday present and while it's a solid Pinot Noir, I'm not sure it justifies the price tag. The dark fruit and spice thing is nice and it's smooth enough, but I've had Burgundies at half the price that I enjoyed just as much. Wouldn't buy it for myself.

Treated myself after a bonus at work. This is a serious wine — full bodied, loads of blackberry and damson, and there's a sort of pencilly mineral thing at the end that's unlike anything I've tasted before. Tannins are silky smooth. I'm no expert but this felt like quality.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted a proper Burgundy. Cherry and raspberry on the nose which was great, and it's got this earthy quality I quite liked. Felt like it could do with another few years in the bottle though — a bit young still. Had it with slow-cooked lamb and that worked well.
