Frantin delivers a red of real quality here — Pinot Noir at its best, offering prestige at £495.00.

Kofi Asante VIPsAllowed — Birthday splurge that delivered
9/10

Bought this for my 50th and wow, it did not disappoint. The dark cherry and plum flavours are incredible — rich and smooth without being heavy. Tannins are silky and the finish just goes on and on. Yes it's £495 but for a milestone birthday Grand Cru, I'd do it again.

Daniel Oyama VIPsAllowed — Great wine but ouch the price
7/10

Look, this is a genuinely good wine. Smooth, rich, loads of blackcurrant and cherry going on, nice long finish. But £495 is a LOT of money and I've had Burgundies at half the price that come close. Would I buy it again? Probably not, but I'm glad I tried it once.

Diana Cruz VIPsAllowed — Classy stuff

Got this as a gift and honestly didn't know much about Clos-de-Vougeot before opening it. The plum and cherry flavours hit you straight away, then there's this liquorice and herby thing going on underneath. Really complex but easy to drink at 13.5%. I'm no expert but this felt like a serious wine.
