Delavenne delivers a champagne of real quality here — Chardonnay at its best (magnum), offering prestige at £99.95.

Sophie Brennan VIPsAllowed — Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Bought this for my wife's 40th and wow, it was a hit. The bubbles are super fine and creamy, and there's this amazing brioche thing going on that made it feel really luxurious. Everyone at the table commented on it. At a hundred quid it's not an everyday thing but for a special occasion it absolutely justified the price.

Jake Morrison VIPsAllowed — Proper champagne, not just fizz

Got recommended this by the guy at my local wine shop when I said I wanted something a step up from Moët. He wasn't wrong — you can really taste the difference. There's a baked apple and hazelnut thing happening that I wasn't expecting, and it finishes dry and chalky rather than sweet. Felt like I was actually tasting champagne properly for the first time.

Amira Benali VIPsAllowed — Really nice but hard to ignore the price
7/10

Look, this is lovely champagne. Strawberry on the nose, gorgeous fine bubbles, long finish. But nearly £100 is a LOT and I've had champagnes at £50-60 that got me 90% of the way there. Would I buy it again for a special dinner party? Maybe. Would I recommend it casually? Probably not at that price point.
