Brought this to a dinner party and it disappeared fast. Ripe red fruit, soft tannins, just enough structure to be interesting without intimidating anyone. It's the kind of wine that makes everyone at the table happy — and there's real skill in making something this approachable that still has character.

This is a wine that rewards patience. The first sip is all dark fruit and spice, but give it twenty minutes in the glass and layers of leather, tobacco, and dried herbs emerge. The tannins are firm but silky — clearly built for ageing but already showing beautifully. One of the best bottles I've opened this year.

Cracked this open on the patio last weekend and it was just right. Floral and peachy on the nose, and it's got this zippy acidity that makes it super refreshing. At 12% it doesn't knock you sideways either. Bit of a treat at that price but sometimes you've earned it.
