7/10

My wife picked this up from Waitrose and we cracked it open after dinner. It's rich and quite intense — lots of toffee and dark chocolate on the nose. I liked it but found it a bit much after a small glass. Would be good with a cheese board or something to balance it out. Decent for the price though.

Bought this as a treat for myself after a long week and wow. It's like liquid Christmas pudding — all that raisin and fig stuff but with a coffee bitterness that stops it being sickly. The finish just goes on and on. Under twenty quid for something this good feels like a steal honestly.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something different. It's definitely interesting — very concentrated raisin flavour with a bitter edge that I wasn't expecting. Quality is there for sure but I think I prefer something a bit lighter after dinner. Worth trying once at least, especially at this price point.

Had this at a friend's dinner party and immediately went and bought a bottle. Pedro Ximenez is such an underrated grape. Thick and silky with dried fruit and a nutty finish that hangs around forever. Goes brilliantly with dark chocolate or just on its own while you're winding down for the evening.
