Helena Kosta VIPsAllowed - Nice gift box, decent port
7/10

Picked this up as a last-minute present and the gift box makes it look properly fancy. Finally tried one myself and it's a good all-rounder — spicy, fruity, that classic Christmas pudding thing. £19 feels about right, maybe slightly steep for an LBV but the packaging helps justify it.

Marcus Blackwell VIPsAllowed - A bit much for me
6/10

Had this after Christmas dinner and it was almost TOO rich on top of everything else. The coffee and dark chocolate flavours are intense. My partner loved it though. Might work better on a random Tuesday with some stilton rather than after a massive roast.

Jason Steel VIPsAllowed - Christmas in a glass
8/10

Bought this as a gift for my dad's birthday and he insisted we open it straight away. Glad he did — it's like drinking Christmas cake with a coffee chaser. Really rich but doesn't feel sickly, and at under twenty quid in the gift box it looked way more expensive than it was.

Sophia Laurent VIPsAllowed - Perfect with the cheeseboard
8/10

We cracked this open for a dinner party and it was the star of the cheeseboard. The dry finish really surprised me — I usually find port too sweet but this one just keeps you going back for more. At 19% it creeps up on you though, fair warning!

Liam Anderson VIPsAllowed - Solid port, nothing fancy
7/10

I'm not a massive port drinker but grabbed this after the guy in Majestic recommended it. It's good — lots of dark chocolate and dried fruit, and it finishes drier than I expected which I actually preferred. Wouldn't say it blew my mind but I'd happily buy it again.
