Astrid Nilsen VIPsAllowed - Perfect with cheese
8/10

Had this with a big stilton after a roast and it was incredible. The dried fruit and walnut notes go so well with strong cheese. I'm not usually a port person but this one converted me. That dry finish is the key — it doesn't leave you feeling like you've just eaten a bag of toffees.

Absolutely loved this. The flavour just keeps going and going — seriously the finish lasts forever. Salted caramel and dark chocolate with that dry ending is chef's kiss. Already ordered another bottle to stash away for next winter.

My partner loves port so I got this for his birthday. He enjoyed it but I found it quite intense — very heavy and concentrated. The coffee and dark chocolate thing is real though, I'll give it that. At nearly 20% ABV a small glass goes a long way.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something for after dinner. It's good — really rich with fig and caramel flavours — but £40 is a lot for port when you can get decent ones for half that. Would I buy it again? Maybe for a special occasion.

Saw this on a menu at a restaurant and ordered a glass. First sip I wasn't sure — seemed a bit closed off. But after sitting for 10 minutes it really opened up into this rich figgy caramel thing. Would pair well with a chocolate dessert or just on its own by the fire.

8/10

Bought this for our Christmas dinner and it was a massive hit. Tastes like actual Christmas pudding with dark chocolate — everyone kept going back for more. The dry finish surprised me because I expected port to be super sweet, but this was way better than the sticky stuff my nan used to drink.

Picked this up after reading about Touriga Nacional grapes and wanting to try a proper Portuguese port. Really enjoyed the orange peel note on the nose — gives it a lift. Good stuff, just wish I could afford to drink it more regularly.
