Sophia Laurent VIPsAllowed - Converted my beer-drinking mates
8/10

Brought this round to a mate's house and even the lads who only drink lager were into it. It's sweet enough to appeal to people who think they don't like wine, but there's enough going on with the acidity and bubbles that it doesn't taste like alcopop. Clean finish too, no weird aftertaste. Bit of a crowd-pleaser honestly.

Jackson Wu VIPsAllowed - Perfect after-dinner sipper
8/10

Opened this after a dinner party instead of dessert and it was a hit. Lovely balance between the sweetness and acidity so it doesn't feel heavy. Everyone wanted to know what it was. Would definitely buy again for entertaining.

Priscilla Nunes VIPsAllowed - Nice but steep price tag
7/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something different for our anniversary. It's tasty — sweet with fine bubbles and a clean finish — but nearly £60 for a small bottle is hard to justify. I'd maybe get it again as a gift but not as a regular buy.

Tyler Bennet VIPsAllowed - Great alternative to Champagne for toasts
8/10

Picked this up for New Year's because we wanted something a bit different from the usual prosecco. It's sweeter than regular fizz obviously but the bubbles and acidity stop it being too much. Really lingering aftertaste too, in a good way. My partner who doesn't usually like wine loved it.

Ethan Cooper VIPsAllowed - Interesting but not sure I'd rebuy
7/10

Saw this on a menu at a wine bar and ordered a glass out of curiosity. It's well made and the balance between sweet and fizzy is impressive at 12.5% ABV. Just not sure sparkling icewine is really my thing — I kept wanting it to be either properly sparkling or properly dessert wine. Glad I tried it though.

Samir Patel VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Got this as a birthday present for myself because I've always wanted to try icewine. The bubbles caught me off guard — didn't even know sparkling icewine was a thing! Really sweet but not in a cloying way, the fizz keeps it fresh. At sixty quid it's a splurge but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion.

I tried icewine in Canada years ago and have been chasing that experience since. This sparkling version from Inniskillin absolutely nails it. Sweet but bright, with this lovely mousse that makes it feel lighter than you'd expect. Goes amazingly with blue cheese if you're into that.
