Annika Svensson VIPsAllowed - Really fun find
8/10

Picked this up from a local wine shop after the guy behind the counter recommended it. Never heard of Bugey before but this is seriously refreshing — loads of fruit but still crisp and zippy. At £25 it's not cheap for a midweek bottle but I'd definitely get it again for a nice occasion.

Petra Novak VIPsAllowed - Nice but a bit pricey

It's pleasant enough, clean and well balanced with some decent complexity if you pay attention. But honestly for nearly £25 I expected a bit more wow factor. Would probably reach for a good Cava or Prosecco at half the price for everyday drinking.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - Solid sparkling for the money
7/10

Bought this for a dinner party instead of Champagne and nobody complained. It's got a nice freshness to it and doesn't feel heavy at all despite being pretty flavourful. Good but not life-changing — I'd say it's fair for £25.

Marianne Blom VIPsAllowed - Great aperitif wine
7/10

Had this before dinner on a Friday night and it was spot on. Light, bright acidity, and at 12.5% you can have a couple of glasses without feeling rough. It's got more going on than your average sparkling — some real depth in the middle that keeps it interesting.

Elena Morozova VIPsAllowed - Decent with food
7/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and took a punt on it. Goes really well with lighter food — we had it with some fish and salads and it was a great match. Clean finish, nothing too heavy. Wouldn't necessarily seek it out in a shop but I'd order it again if I spotted it on a menu.

Mia Sundberg VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
8/10

My partner got me this for my birthday and I loved it. The bubbles are fine and persistent, and there's this lovely layered quality where you keep finding new things in each sip. Really elegant without being stuffy. Would happily drink this over plenty of Champagnes I've had.

9/10

I'm on a bit of a mission to try sparkling wines outside of Champagne and this is one of the best I've found. Seriously expressive on the nose, beautifully balanced, and the finish just lingers perfectly. Frank Peillot clearly knows what they're doing. Already ordered another bottle.
