Benjamin Ross VIPsAllowed - Brilliant with tonic
8/10

A bartender friend told me to try this with tonic water, a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint. Game changer. On its own it's lovely too — dry, aromatic, no sweetness. The finish goes on for ages in a really pleasant way. Already bought a second bottle.

Kenji Watanabe VIPsAllowed - Not quite what I hoped for
6/10

Bought this for a dinner party because I wanted something a bit different for the aperitif. It's fine, perfectly drinkable, but for nearly twenty quid I was expecting it to blow my socks off. It's dry and clean which is good, but I think I'd rather just get a decent bottle of white wine for that money.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - Decent everyday sipper

Taylor's know what they're doing with port and this is no exception. Nicely balanced, good acidity, and the alcohol is really well hidden for 20%. I keep a bottle in the fridge and pour a small glass while I'm cooking. Not the most exciting thing ever but it's reliable and the finish is clean. Fair price for the quality.

Annika Svensson VIPsAllowed - Good stuff, great for summer
7/10

Had this chilled on a warm evening and it was spot on. Bone dry which I appreciate, none of that cloying sweetness you sometimes get with port. You can smell it before you even take a sip which I liked. It's strong at 20% so I nursed one glass all evening.

Astrid Nilsen VIPsAllowed - Solid but took me by surprise
7/10

I'll be honest, I didn't know dry white port was even a thing until the guy at the wine shop recommended it. It's got a lot more going on than I expected — nice fruit, crisp, almost citrusy. The 20% ABV sneaks up on you though, you really can't tell it's that strong. Would buy again.

Sara Lindstrom VIPsAllowed - My new aperitif obsession
8/10

Picked this up after seeing white port on a cocktail menu and wanting to try it straight. Really glad I did — it's properly dry, not sweet at all, and the acidity keeps it super refreshing. Been having it ice cold before dinner every night this week. At £19.50 it's not cheap but you don't need much per serving so the bottle lasts.

Rosa Paredes VIPsAllowed - Bit pricey for what it is
5/10

Got this as a birthday present and it's alright. I normally drink red port so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's very dry — almost too dry for me if I'm honest. Well made and smooth, no rough alcohol burn, but at this price point I'd probably just stick with a nice Vinho Verde.

Daniel Torres VIPsAllowed - Where has this been all my life
8/10

Saw someone recommend Taylor's white port on a forum and grabbed a bottle. The nose is gorgeous, really expressive, and it tastes way more complex than you'd think. Clean dry finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. This is replacing prosecco as my go-to pre-dinner drink.
