Jake Morrison VIPsAllowed - Christmas in a glass
9/10

Bought this for Christmas Day and it was the star of the show. Incredible dried fruit and toffee flavours, and it's so smooth for 20% — you genuinely forget how strong it is. Everyone wanted to know what it was. Will be buying again next year.

Derek Chang VIPsAllowed - Really good but not cheap
8/10

The guy at my local wine shop talked me into this over the 10 year and honestly he was right. The butterscotch and walnut thing going on is lovely, and it's got this nice orange peel note that stops it being too sweet. At £46 it's not an everyday buy but it's proper quality.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - Converted my wife to port
9/10

My wife always said she didn't like port but she tried this and changed her mind immediately. It's got this lovely balance where it's sweet but not sickly — there's a sharpness underneath that keeps it fresh. The date and apricot flavours are gorgeous. We finished the bottle in two evenings.

8/10

Had this at a restaurant and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle. Really smooth, no harsh alcohol burn at all despite being 20%. The caramel and warm spice on the finish just lingers nicely. Perfect with a cheese board or honestly just on its own on the sofa.

Haruki Sato VIPsAllowed - Nice port, bit steep though
7/10

Got this as a birthday present and it's definitely good — smooth finish, loads of raisin and fig flavour. But I'm not sure I'd spend £46 on it myself when you can get a decent tawny for less. That said, with a bit of stilton after dinner it was absolutely spot on.
