Marcus Blackwell VIPsAllowed - Opened it for Christmas, no regrets
9/10

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something really special for Christmas Day. 20% ABV so it packs a punch but you'd never know it — everything is so well balanced and precise. Sat with a glass after dinner and the smell alone kept changing for about twenty minutes. Not an everyday buy obviously but for a once-a-year treat it's fantastic.

Diana Cruz VIPsAllowed - Really nice but I'm still learning about port
8/10

I'm pretty new to port honestly, usually just drink whatever's on offer at the supermarket. A friend brought this to a dinner party and it was clearly on another level. Super smooth, not too sweet, and the finish is really clean and long. I don't know enough to say if it's worth £275 compared to something cheaper but I definitely enjoyed it a lot.

Mia Sundberg VIPsAllowed - Best port I've ever had, no contest
10/10

My wife got me this for my 50th and oh my god. The balance is unreal — it's sweet but not cloying, and there's this lovely acidity that keeps it fresh even though it's been in a barrel for decades. The finish just lingers and lingers without being over the top. I've had a few aged tawnies before but nothing comes close to this Taylor's.

Tariq Hassan VIPsAllowed - Worth every penny for a special night
9/10

Bought this for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and it was the star of the evening. The nose is incredible — just layers and layers of stuff going on, dried fruits, toffee, something almost nutty. At £275 it's not cheap but for a 1975 port that tastes this good, I honestly think it's fair. Everyone at the table went quiet after the first sip, which says it all really.

Mei-Lin Wu VIPsAllowed - Stunning but hard to justify the price
8/10

Tried this at a wine bar in Porto and had to rate it. Genuinely complex and beautifully put together — concentrated nose, great depth on the palate, clean finish that sticks around. But £275 is a LOT of money for a bottle of port, even one this old. If someone else is buying, absolutely get it. If it's your own money, maybe think twice.
