Marcus Blackwell VIPsAllowed - Amazing wine, painful price tag
8/10

Saw this on the list at a restaurant and split a glass with my partner. It's beautiful, no question — clean, long finish and real depth to it. But I keep coming back to the cost. For a once-in-a-lifetime thing sure, but I'll stick to regular Noval for everyday. Still giving it an 8 because the wine itself is fantastic.

Been hearing about Quinta do Noval Nacional for years and a mate brought a bottle to our Christmas dinner. Lives up to the hype. Every sip keeps changing and revealing something new. You really do need to take your time with it though — don't rush this one.

We'd been saving this for a special occasion and our 25th anniversary felt right. So glad we did. It's rich and complex but somehow not heavy — the sweetness and acidity balance each other out perfectly. The alcohol is 20% but you'd never know it, completely hidden. We sat with the last glass for ages just enjoying the finish.

Got this as a 50th birthday present from my wife and honestly it might be the best thing I've ever tasted. The balance is unreal — it's sweet but not in a cloying way, and the finish just goes on and on. At £1575 it's obviously insane money but if you're ever going to splurge on a bottle, make it this one.

10/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted the best Port money could buy. He wasn't wrong. From the first sniff you can tell it's serious stuff — really defined and clear, not just generic sweet Port smell. Layer after layer of flavour. I'm not a Port expert by any means but even I could tell this was special.

Adaobi Eze VIPsAllowed - Incredible but hard to justify the price
8/10

Tried this at a Port tasting event and it's genuinely stunning wine. Perfectly balanced, nothing out of place, and the finish lingers for what feels like minutes. But £1575 is a LOT of money. I've had Ports at a tenth of the price that still made me very happy. Score is for the wine itself, not the value.
