Farah Abboud VIPsAllowed - My new go-to port
8/10

I'm not usually a port person but my partner loves it so I grabbed this as a birthday present for him. We ended up sharing the whole bottle over cheese and crackers. The dried fruit notes are gorgeous and it's so well balanced — sweet but not sickly. Definitely ordering another one.

The guy at the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something for after Christmas dinner. He was right — it's got layers to it, starts fruity then goes into this caramel-nutty thing. Really clean finish too, no harshness. Would buy again.

Niepoort know what they're doing with port and this is a solid tawny. Good depth of flavour, nice acidity that stops it feeling heavy. Not going to blow your mind but it's reliable and easy to drink. Goes really well with dark chocolate if you're into that.

Picked this up from Majestic on a whim and glad I did. Lovely dried fruit and caramel thing going on, and it's got a warmth that just sits nicely without being too boozy. At £24 it's not cheap for a casual buy but honestly it's worth it for a Friday night wind-down.

Rafael Santos VIPsAllowed - Good but not amazing
6/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was decent. Nice nutty flavour and smooth enough, but for nearly £24 I'd probably want a bit more going on. It's 20% ABV which sounds scary but you don't really notice it that much which I guess is a good thing.
