Yasmine Najjar VIPsAllowed - Worth every penny for a special night
9/10

Bought this for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and it absolutely delivered. The warmth hits you but it's smooth, not boozy at all despite being 20%. We kept passing the bottle around because everyone wanted another taste — the flavour just lingers forever. Not an everyday buy at £700 but for a once-in-a-lifetime occasion it was perfect.

A mate brought this to a dinner party and honestly I didn't expect much because I'm more of a red wine person. But this completely changed how I think about port. Layer after layer of flavour, and the finish goes on for what feels like minutes. I actually put my glass down after the first sip just to appreciate it. Absolutely stunning.

Aria Kim VIPsAllowed - Incredible but hard to justify the price

Tried this at a wine bar and it's genuinely beautiful — complex, balanced, the kind of thing where every sip gives you something different. But £700 a bottle is a LOT of money. I've had ports at a quarter of the price that got me 80% of the way there. If someone else is buying, absolutely say yes. If it's your own wallet, maybe think twice.

Connor McBride VIPsAllowed - 1987 and still going strong

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for my 60th. Really glad I listened. It's got this lovely acidity that keeps it fresh even though it's nearly 40 years old, and the alcohol is so well integrated you'd never guess it's 20%. Shared it with three friends over cheese and we all just sat there quietly sipping. That's when you know it's good.
