Marco Andretti VIPsAllowed - Not bad but not my thing
6/10

My partner loves sherry so I got this for her birthday. It's decent — very dry and savoury, almost like a stock cube flavour if that makes sense? I can see why people rate it but I think I just prefer something sweeter. She loved it though so job done I suppose.

We had this at a dinner party with a big cheese board and some cured meats and it was absolutely perfect. The almond and orange peel flavours really come through. At 20% it's strong stuff though, so pace yourself. Would buy again for sure.

Elena Vasquez VIPsAllowed - Solid everyday sherry

Saw this on a menu at a tapas place and liked it enough to track down a bottle. It's well balanced — quite savoury and nutty but the acidity stops it feeling too heavy. Nice with some marcona almonds in front of the telly. Good but not mindblowing.

Nia Okafor VIPsAllowed - Proper grown-up sherry
8/10

Picked this up after the guy at the wine shop talked me into trying something different. Really glad I did — it's got this amazing nutty, almost toffee-ish thing going on with dried fruit. Under twenty quid and honestly feels like you're drinking something much more expensive.

Marcus Chen VIPsAllowed - Why did nobody tell me about oloroso before
8/10

I always thought sherry was that sweet stuff your nan drinks at Christmas. This is nothing like that. It's dry, rich, full of walnut and fig flavours, and the finish just goes on and on. £18.95 is a steal honestly. I've already ordered another bottle.
