Daniel Torres VIPsAllowed - Great find for a summer evening
8/10

The guy in the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something crisp but interesting. He was spot on — it smells gorgeous straight out of the bottle, really inviting. There's a depth to it that kept surprising me as the glass went on. Already gone back for another bottle.

My partner bought this for a dinner party and it went down fine. It's well made and easy to drink, but honestly I was expecting a bit more complexity for the price. The finish is nice though, sort of lingers in a good way. Not bad, just not a standout for me personally.

James Okafor VIPsAllowed - Nice but maybe a touch pricey
7/10

Got this as part of a mixed case and it's a solid Chardonnay. Clean and balanced, none of that overly oaky butteriness you sometimes get. At nearly £25 though, I'd want it to wow me a bit more — there are some cracking whites around the £15-18 mark that get close to this.

Picked this up from our local wine shop on a whim and glad I did. It's got a lovely freshness to it — not too heavy, not too light, just really well put together. The acidity keeps it interesting and it went brilliantly with a simple roast chicken. Would definitely buy again.
