Jackson Wu VIPsAllowed - Worth every penny for a special occasion
9/10

Bought this for my dad's 60th birthday and we cracked it open after dinner. Absolutely stunning — so smooth and complex, with layers of caramel and dried fruit that just keep going. At nearly a hundred quid it's not an everyday thing, but for a milestone celebration it was perfect. Everyone at the table went quiet after the first sip, which says it all really.

Natasha Volkov VIPsAllowed - Best port I've ever had, no contest

Had this at a restaurant last year and immediately tracked down a bottle for home. Every sip is slightly different — you get nuts, then toffee, then something almost like orange peel. The finish just hangs there in the best way. I'm not usually one to spend this much on a single bottle but honestly it's ruined cheaper ports for me.

Picked this up at the airport duty free on the way back from Portugal. It's seriously good stuff — smooth as anything with loads of depth and the kind of flavour that keeps you coming back for another small glass. Goes brilliantly with a bit of stilton and some walnuts. At 20% it creeps up on you though, fair warning.

Kofi Asante VIPsAllowed - Incredible but hard to justify the price
8/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for Christmas. It's genuinely lovely — rich and warming with this beautiful acidity that stops it being too heavy. But £93 is a lot for a bottle of port when you can get a decent 10-year for a third of the price. I'd buy it again as a gift but probably not for myself.
