Andre Dubois VIPsAllowed - Blown away by this
9/10

Picked this up on a whim from Waitrose and wow. Poured it for my parents after Sunday roast and we just sat there passing it around going "this is mad." So intense and dark with dried fruit and coffee flavours. 30 years old for under thirty quid — genuinely can't believe it.

My wife and I have been getting into sherry lately and this was our first proper aged PX. Poured it alongside some 70% dark chocolate and it was a brilliant match. Really smooth for 20% alcohol — you don't feel the heat at all. Will definitely buy again when we finish this bottle.

6/10

Tried this at a friend's house. It's quality stuff, you can tell, but honestly at 20% and that level of sweetness I could only manage a small glass. The finish is nice and clean though, I'll give it that. Think you need to really love sweet wines for this one.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for a dinner party. Went down really well with the cheese board at the end of the night. Sweet but not cloying, and you can tell the age has done something special to it. The finish just keeps going.

Got this as a birthday present and it's definitely interesting but probably not my thing. It's like liquid Christmas pudding — raisins, figs, treacle. Well made I'm sure but I kept wanting to reach for something drier. Would be good with cheese maybe.

I've tried a few Pedro Ximenez sherries over the years and this is a good one. 30 years of ageing shows — there's real depth here and layers that open up the longer you sit with it. Not the most complex PX I've had but at this price point it's hard to complain.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - This stuff is liquid toffee
8/10

Bought a bottle after trying it on a menu in Seville last year. Dark as motor oil and tastes like dates and burnt caramel. The sweetness is intense but it never feels heavy somehow — there's an acidity that cuts through. Sip it slow, a little goes a long way.

Helena Kosta VIPsAllowed - Incredible dessert wine
8/10

Poured this over vanilla ice cream on a whim and honestly it was life-changing. So rich and sweet but not in a sickly way — there's something sharp underneath that keeps it interesting. At £28 for something aged 30 years this feels like a steal to me.
