Camila Ortiz VIPsAllowed - Nice but takes some getting used to
7/10

The guy at the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted to try sherry. It's dry but somehow feels rich? Bit confusing at first but grew on me by the second glass. Would probably buy again but wouldn't rush back.

Bought this for a dinner party because a friend loves sherry. The orange peel and nutty flavours are interesting but it's a lot at 20% ABV. Felt like more of a sipping thing than something you can just drink casually. Decent quality though.

Had this at a tapas restaurant and immediately went and bought a bottle. That savoury, almost soy sauce edge works so well with olives and jamón. Genuinely surprised how dry it is — your brain expects sweet but it just isn't. Really good stuff for under £18.

8/10

Picked this up after reading about oloroso styles and wanting to try something different. The walnut and dried fruit thing is real — it tastes way more expensive than £17.75. Goes brilliantly with hard cheese and cured meats on a Friday night.

5/10

Got this as a birthday present from someone who knows I like wine. It's well made I'm sure but the intense nutty dried fruit flavour just isn't really what I reach for. Nearly £18 feels steep when I'd rather just have a glass of red. One for sherry fans I think.

Haruki Sato VIPsAllowed - Solid everyday sherry
7/10

Been getting into sherry lately and this is a reliable go-to. Toasted almonds on the finish, proper dry, and the warmth from the alcohol doesn't burn like some fortified wines do. Not the most exciting bottle I've tried but it delivers every time.
