Ruth Banks VIPsAllowed - Really impressive port
8/10

Bought this for my dad's 60th and we ended up sharing the whole bottle after dinner. Twenty years in barrel and you can tell — loads of layers going on, dried fruit, toffee, but it never feels heavy. At £33.50 it's not cheap but honestly for a 2003 colheita it's pretty reasonable. Would definitely buy again.

I keep coming back to Feuerheerds, they're underrated compared to the big port houses. This 2003 colheita has got real depth to it and a clean finish that makes you want another glass. The fruit and acidity are nicely balanced and it drinks really easily for 20%. Sat with this one for a good hour just enjoying it.

Herbert Muller VIPsAllowed - Great with cheese
7/10

The guy at the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something for a cheese night. He was right — it's got this lovely acidity that cuts through strong blue cheese perfectly. Not too sweet either which I appreciated. I don't know much about port but this one I liked.

Omar Diallo VIPsAllowed - Nice but not blown away
6/10

Had this at a friend's place after a roast. It's smooth and well balanced, I'll give it that, and the alcohol doesn't hit you like some ports do. But for over thirty quid I was expecting something a bit more special? It's good, just not sure it's worth the price when you can get a decent tawny for half that.
