Nils Bergman VIPsAllowed - Really nice but bit steep
8/10

Tried this at a friend's house and tracked a bottle down online. It's lovely — balanced, not too heavy or sweet like some ports can be. Fresh acidity keeps it interesting. My only gripe is £90 is a lot of money and I'm not sure I could tell the difference between this and something half the price in a blind tasting. Still very enjoyable though.

Valentina Ricci VIPsAllowed - Thirty years old and still going strong
9/10

I'm always a bit nervous buying older wines in case they've gone off or faded, but this is still full of life. Really expressive on the nose and properly layered on the palate. The finish is clean and just trails off nicely. Had it with some stilton after a roast and it was perfect.

Thomas Weber VIPsAllowed - Proper special occasion stuff
9/10

Bought this for my dad's 60th and we cracked it open after dinner. Honestly blown away — it's so smooth for something that's 20% ABV, you really don't feel the alcohol at all. The flavours just keep going and going. Not cheap at ninety quid but for a 1991 vintage port that tastes this good, I think it's fair.

Isabella Rossi VIPsAllowed - Best port I've ever had
10/10

The guy at the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something special for Christmas. It smells incredible the second you pour it — really rich and complex. Every sip gives you something different and the finish lasts forever. I've had a few vintage ports before but nothing that comes close to this.

Devon Marsh VIPsAllowed - Good but I expected more for the price
7/10

Got this as a birthday present to myself. It's a solid port — smooth, well-structured, and the acidity stops it being too cloying. But at nearly ninety quid I was expecting it to absolutely blow my mind, and it didn't quite get there. Would I buy it again? Probably not when there are decent tawnies out there for half the price.
