Connor McBride VIPsAllowed - Good but a bit steep
6/10

The wine itself is nice enough — fresh, appley, dry finish. But nearly twenty quid for a Verdejo feels like a stretch when you can get solid ones for half that. I'd want it closer to £12-14 before I'd grab it regularly.

Bought two bottles of this for my wife's birthday dinner and we finished both. It's got a bit of weight to it compared to most whites we drink, and that creamy texture is gorgeous. The citrus keeps it refreshing though so it doesn't get heavy. Already ordered more.

Guy at my local suggested this when I said I wanted something white and interesting but not Sauvignon Blanc. Really glad he did. There's a lovely pear thing going on and it's got this almost chalky dryness at the end that keeps it from being boring. Not cheap but it's a proper step up from the usual.

Yasmine Najjar VIPsAllowed - Really nice summer white
8/10

Picked this up for a barbecue last weekend and it was a hit. Really crisp and lemony with a bit of creaminess that I wasn't expecting from a Verdejo. Went perfectly with the grilled fish we had. Would definitely buy again.
