Veuve Fourny Vertus Blanc de Blancs Brut Premier Cru Champagne / Magnum
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Veuve FournySolid choice for a party
Picked up the magnum for a dinner party and it went down really well. Clean, crisp, nicely balanced. A couple of friends who know way more about wine than me were genuinely impressed. Only thing is I wish it was a bit cheaper but you do get what you pay for.
Nice but bit pricey for what it is
It's good Champagne, don't get me wrong. Well made, pleasant to drink, decent acidity. But at nearly a hundred quid I've had bottles at half the price that I enjoyed just as much. Would I buy it again? Probably not when there are cheaper options out there.
Classy without being stuffy
Had this at a friend's birthday and spent half the night asking where she got it. There's a lot going on flavour-wise — it sort of unfolds as you drink it rather than hitting you all at once. Really smooth finish too. Treated myself to a bottle the following week.
Best Champagne I've had in ages
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special but not crazy expensive. Absolutely loved it — really expressive on the nose and the finish just goes on and on. Blanc de blancs done right. Already ordered another one.
Great for special occasions
Not gonna pretend I know loads about Champagne but this was really nice. Got it as a birthday present and the magnum size made it feel extra special. Light and fresh with a clean finish that doesn't leave any weird aftertaste. Would definitely be happy to receive this again!
Worth every penny for the magnum
Bought this for our anniversary dinner and honestly it made the whole evening. The bubbles are so fine and elegant, and it's got this lovely depth that keeps you coming back for another sip. At £96.50 for a magnum that's actually pretty reasonable for premier cru Champagne.
