Wei Zhang - Good not great

Picked this up after reading about Sardinian wines somewhere online. It's well made and I liked the dried herb notes and the way the flavours kind of build as you drink it. Decent acidity too. Just felt like at this price point I wanted a bit more wow factor.

Benjamin Ross - Absolute stunner

I don't usually spend this much on white wine but oh my god. Poured it for a dinner party and everyone stopped talking to ask what it was. Beautiful balance between the ripe fruit and the acidity — serious wine but so easy to drink. The finish just goes on and on.

Adaobi Eze - Goes brilliantly with food

Had this with a roast chicken and it was perfect — the savoury side of the wine just worked so well with the food. Really nicely structured and not heavy at all despite having proper depth to it. Already thinking about grabbing another bottle for Easter lunch.

Omar Diallo - Not your average white

Saw this on a menu at an Italian place and ordered a glass on a whim. Glad I did. It's got this savoury, herby thing going on alongside the fruit that makes it way more interesting than most whites I drink. Ordered a second glass which tells you everything really.

Samir Patel - Nice but steep at £42

The wine shop guy recommended this and it is genuinely good — interesting layers of flavour and a clean finish that keeps you sipping. But £42.50 for a white wine is a lot and I'm not sure it's twice as good as a £20 bottle. Would happily drink it again if someone else was buying.

Kenji Watanabe - Proper special bottle

Bought this for my wife's birthday and we both loved it. Really aromatic — you get all this stone fruit and herby stuff as soon as you pour it. Loads of depth for a white wine and it's only 12% so we didn't feel rough the next day. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.
