Ravi Krishnan VIPsAllowed - Really nice for the price
7/10

Picked this up from the shop on a whim because I wanted something different from my usual Sauvignon Blanc. Really glad I did — it's got this lovely fresh acidity that keeps you coming back for more. At £11 it's a solid buy, especially for a midweek treat.

7/10

Got this as part of a mixed case and it ended up being one of my favourites. Had it with a roast chicken on Sunday and it was spot on — the acidity cuts through the richness perfectly. Chenin Blanc doesn't get enough love in my opinion and this is a good example of why it should.

Mia Sundberg VIPsAllowed - Fine but nothing special
5/10

Had this at a friend's house and it was perfectly drinkable but I wasn't blown away. It's light and easy enough but for over eleven quid I'd probably reach for something else. Not bad, just not memorable for me.

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and gave it a go. Pleasant enough — light, fresh, easy drinking. The finish is actually quite long which I liked. Just felt like it needed a bit more oomph to really stand out. Perfectly good midrange white though.

I've been getting into South African whites lately and the wine shop guy recommended this Swartland. It's well made — clean finish, good balance. Not the most exciting bottle I've ever had but it does what it says on the tin.

Derek Chang VIPsAllowed - Great summer wine
7/10

Bought a couple of bottles for a barbecue and everyone enjoyed it. Nice and crisp with some ripe fruit flavour but not too sweet. The low ABV is a bonus when you're drinking outside all afternoon. Will definitely buy again.

Priya Sharma VIPsAllowed - Bit underwhelming
5/10

Maybe my expectations were too high but this didn't quite do it for me. It's clean and inoffensive but I kept waiting for something more interesting to happen. At 12% it's very light which some people will love but I prefer a bit more body in my whites.

Genuinely surprised by this one. For under £12 you're getting layers of flavour that unfold the longer it sits in your glass. Bought it for a dinner party with fish and it went down brilliantly. My wife wants me to find more of it.
