Quartet Brut Rose NV / Anderson Valley
Rosé 12% ABV ABV QuartetGood but a bit pricey
Nice enough sparkling rosé, clean finish and pleasant enough to sip on its own. But nearly £40 feels steep when you can get solid Crémant for half that. If it was closer to £25 I'd rate it higher.
Went down a treat
Picked this up for a girls' night and we polished off two bottles without even trying. It's got a really clean taste that doesn't leave that weird aftertaste some cheaper fizz does. At 12% ABV it's not too heavy either which is always a bonus on a school night.
Decent sparkler, nothing mind-blowing
Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought I'd give it a go. It's well made and the finish is nice and clean — no complaints there. Just didn't totally blow me away for the price point. I'd order it again if someone else was paying though.
Anderson Valley does it again
I've been getting into California sparkling wines lately and this one really delivers. You can tell the cool climate keeps everything tight and focused — the fruit is there but it's not jammy or over the top. The mousse is beautifully persistent too. One of the better American sparklers I've tried.
Really nice rosé fizz
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit different from prosecco. Really glad he did — it's got proper depth to it and the acidity keeps it fresh without being sharp. Would definitely buy again for a dinner party.
Perfect for celebrations
Bought this for my wife's birthday dinner and it was a huge hit. The bubbles are super fine and it's got this lovely crisp thing going on that made it dangerously easy to drink. At £39 it's not cheap but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion.
