Got this for my wife's birthday meal and it went down well with everyone. It's got proper depth to it, not just one of those bland easy-drinking whites. The finish lingers nicely too, keeps you going back for more. She liked it which is the main thing.

Carlos Mendez - Solid chenin blanc

Had this at a friend's dinner party and liked it enough to track down a bottle myself. It's got this nice layered thing going on where you keep noticing new stuff as you drink it. Light and easy at 12% which is a plus. Good wine, just not sure I'd pay north of £25 for it regularly.

Sara Lindstrom - Nice but a bit pricey for what it is

It's a perfectly fine white wine — clean, balanced, pleasant enough. But honestly for nearly £26 I expected something that would blow me away and it didn't quite get there. I've had chenin blancs at half the price that I enjoyed just as much. Would drink it again if someone else was buying though.

Marco Andretti - This one surprised me

I don't know much about natural wine or whatever Vin de France means but the guy in the shop said to try it so I did. Really aromatic when you first pour it, and it's got this lovely acidity that made it perfect with the fish pie I made. Light enough that I had a couple of glasses without feeling heavy. Will be buying more.

Picked this up from our local wine shop on a recommendation and really glad I did. Super fresh and clean, loads of fruit but not sweet at all. My partner said it reminded her of something we had in the Loire on holiday. At £25 it's not cheap for a midweek bottle but we'll definitely get it again for a nice meal.

OK so I'm a bit of a chenin blanc fanatic and this is one of the best I've had this year. Beautifully clear on the nose and the balance between the fruit and the acidity is spot on. At 12% it's dangerously drinkable. Yes it's £25 but honestly I think it's worth every penny — bought three more bottles the next day.
