Andre Dubois VIPsAllowed - Decent grand cru
7/10

Saw this on a list at a wine bar and ordered a glass. It's well made — clean finish, nice stone fruit character, good acidity. Perfectly enjoyable but didn't quite have the wow factor I look for at this price point. The 12.5% keeps it light and easy going though.

Bought this for my wife's 40th and honestly it was the star of the evening. Really bready and toasty with gorgeous ripe fruit — everyone kept asking what it was. At £67 it's not cheap but for a grand cru blanc de noirs it's actually fair enough.

I'm usually more of a prosecco person but my friend brought this to a dinner party and wow. It's so much more complex than what I normally drink — layers of fruit and this almost pastry-like quality? The acidity keeps it fresh and easy to drink. I'm a convert.

The guy at my local recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit different from the usual Moët. It's got a lot more going on — stone fruit, that yeasty bread thing, and it stays interesting as you drink it. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.

Nia Okafor VIPsAllowed - Good but maybe not £67 good
7/10

Nice champagne, don't get me wrong. Crisp, well balanced, and the finish hangs around which I liked. But at nearly seventy quid I think I expected to be a bit more blown away? I've had bottles at £45 that got me just as excited.

Natalie Ford VIPsAllowed - Christmas Day winner

Had this with Christmas dinner and it worked brilliantly — enough body to stand up to the turkey but still refreshing. You can tell it's been aged properly, it's got that lovely bready depth to it. Really classy without being stuffy.
